Weather Stations & Sensors

We use our station almost daily during the winter months to ensure we are not sending students out in too cold of weather. As an administrator I rely on it to make sure students are safe from the elements.

Last year, we had our station installed here at our school. One day, we had field day scheduled with a lot of outdoor activities however, the local meteorologists were calling for storms and severe heat. After learning about the potential for severe weather, we stayed weather aware thanks to our station. We were able to be proactive and moved students inside to prevent heat exhaustion. We were also able to avoid the severe storms that rolled through that day thanks to the radar screen.
