Christian Sayles

Meteorologist

Christian Sayles started at the company as an intern in March 2019. He became a full-time meteorologist in the 24/7 Meteorological Operations Department in October 2021.

Christian graduated from the University of Maryland-College Park in 2021 with his Bachelor’s Degree in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences. Prior to this, he received his Associate’s Degree from Prince George’s Community College, where he helped to produce and direct an onset show titled Pathways of Media: The Dj and Actor.

While attending University of Maryland-College Park, Christian helped to produce a pre-recorded broadcast called UMD Wx Talks, where aspiring broadcast meteorologists recorded weather forecasts for the students and faculty. Additionally, he completed a series of weather balloon launches analyzing particulate concentrations through the Balloon Payload Program at University of Maryland-College Park.

Christian is married to his wife Jasmine, and they have two guinea pigs: Joy and Merci. In his free time, he enjoys going to the movies and playing games with his family. He also enjoys tutoring kids at his local church and in his community.
